Saving is geared at increasing your net worthy for tommorow or the future. Saving even a dollar day is imprtant than saving non at all, because saving a dollar a day will make a great difference in your finances when it accumulates with time and in addition to the interest it earns.
Saving funds can be used for emergencies, for spending such as vacatations or buying a car or a house, paying for education, for retirement purposes, etc.
When embarking to save, have a target amount of money before hand for this will energize your saving and ensure you are on track to your goal.
Do not save because saving is necessary or because others have told you it is important - this saving mentality may not be focused and may easily erode your commitement and motivation at any time leading to unexpectedly spending your saving due to lack of focus. So when saving have a target and go for it.
